The Dream After A Nightmare                     Hey everyone. When we last met my beloved country of Trinidad and Tobago was faced with excessive flooding   and I indicated that Styrofoam and Plastic Pollution was a significant cause. Now, what happens after? According to TU Delft Repositories, one type of flooding is rainfall flood (Peterson, 2001). This confirms what Trinidad and Tobago faced. Also, the consequences of floods affect the economy, society, and the environment. In this aftermath, it is amazing to know how much effort is put to stand up after being hit down, especially a whole nation. For example, the ODPM (Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management) have been involved in clean up exercises at affected areas and assessing damages. Also, I was looking at my Facebook feed and a particular post by IAMovement caught my eye. IAMovement i...

Basically the title is the combination of these forms of waste. Based on my first post, the International Coastal Clean Up was an event that began around 30 years ago which emphasizes the point that we need to be more aware of the pollution that we produce. Before I begin, the foundation of this blog is accountable upon my Bachelor degree in Environmental Science and Sustainable Technology and in my Science Communication class, I have chosen this topic based on the International Year of the Reef (IYOR). This was an initiative that started in 1997, since there was an escalation of the ultimatum of the coral reefs. Also, in consideration are mangroves and sea grasses globally. ( https://www.icriforum.org/about-icri/iyor ). These natural habitats are in trouble and it is our choice to help them or n...
